Maintenance Supervisor

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to join our client in Bourbonnais, IL. This direct hire opportunity is fully onsite.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for directly supervising mechanics and contract employees, ensuring safe and cost-effective maintenance work practices, and providing technical expertise. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of maintenance supervision experience and 3+ years of experience in a chemical/petrochemical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise mechanics and contract employees, including performance management, team development, and effective change management
• Oversee maintenance work to ensure safety and cost-effective practices
• Review planned maintenance work orders
• Act as main point of contact for business partners
• Identify and implement improvements of workflow processes
• Manage record development and retention
• Provide technical expertise and guidance
• Provide updates on maintenance activities to stakeholders

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance supervision experience, 5+ years preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office required
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proven leadership skills
