We are seeking a diligent Quality Technician to uphold and maintain superior quality standards within our food manufacturing facility. You will be integral in ensuring product compliance and safety while contributing to our commitment to high-quality, organic products.

Quality Technician

Responsibilities
  • Conduct line clearance to verify that lines are clear before startup.
  • Perform equipment swabbing after sanitation procedures.
  • Execute quality audits for each production line throughout shifts.
  • Document in-line process check results for each production run according to pre-approved specifications.
  • Report any Out of Specification (OOS) or non-conformance issues to production and management.
  • Ensure immediate corrective actions are implemented before startup for any non-conformance.
  • Label and store non-compliant products in designated areas, following the MRB process.
  • Perform periodic quality and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits of production areas, focusing on product handling compliance.
  • Audit staged ingredients for manufacturing, ensuring no expired materials are used.
  • Conduct temperature audits of ingredients, Work-In-Process (WIP), and finished products during production.
  • Prepare shift reports for follow-up by the next shift.
  • Perform case count audits on all products.
  • Carry out daily pre-operational inspections.
  • Assist in metal detector validations and regular in-process metal detector line checks.
  • Ensure operators adhere to metal detector Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Report any food safety risks to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in inspection and quality control within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in GMP practices.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift:
    Monday to Friday, some Saturdays, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bourbonnais, IL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
