LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Quality Control Supervisor -- Chemical Manufacturing to join their team. This is a key leadership role supporting both manufacturing and product development, offering strong visibility and the opportunity to influence quality systems, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts. This position is ideal for a hands‑on leader with a background in chemical manufacturing quality, who thrives in regulated environments and enjoys building and developing high‑performing teams.
The Quality Control Supervisor will oversee daily laboratory operations while ensuring that raw materials, in‑process materials, and finished products meet stringent internal and regulatory quality standards. This individual will serve as a vital bridge between manufacturing, R&D, and cross‑functional stakeholders, driving consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of quality professionals supporting production and laboratory testing activities.
- Oversee day‑to‑day quality control operations including sampling, testing, scheduling, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP regulations, ISO standards, and customer‑specific requirements.
- Act as the primary quality liaison between plant operations and internal/external partners.
- Support and lead internal and external audits, including customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
- Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review analytical and quality data to ensure product integrity and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain and improve quality systems including SOPs, batch release processes, and stability programs.
- Manage laboratory budgets, resources, and performance metrics.
- Partner with leadership to implement best practices in quality assurance and process optimization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
- Proven leadership experience within a chemical manufacturing quality environment.
- Hands‑on experience managing a quality control lab supporting production operations.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including GMP standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor employees, and drive performance improvements.
- Experience with quality investigations, nonconformance management, and corrective actions.
- Experience working in a GMP‑regulated environment.
- Exposure to surfactant‑based products or related chemistries (e.g., ingredients used in personal care or cleaning applications).
- Familiarity with audit standards such as ISO, food‑grade, or specialty chemical certifications.
- Background in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience supporting stability studies and analytical method validation.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Results‑driven with a focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Compensation Range: $110,000 - $130,000 + 10% Bonus
