Service Expediter

Pay Range: $22.00–$24.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Schedule:

Monday–Friday (standard business hours) 8:00am-4:30pm

Operations Facility, Cataumet, MA

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Expediter to support our Service Department by managing parts-related processes, coordinating with distributors, and ensuring timely communication with customers and internal teams. This role is critical in keeping service operations running smoothly–especially during high-volume periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, assess, and initiate parts reporting (OE-01) and other related reports in ePass, ensuring appropriate follow-through
  • Communicate regularly with distributors to obtain updates on back-ordered parts and maintain accurate notes in ePass
  • Schedule service work based on parts ETA
  • Assist the Parts Purchaser with parts identification and sourcing as needed
  • Source alternative parts through online marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, etc.) for difficult or delayed orders
  • Communicate pertinent parts and scheduling information to technicians and Service Department staff
  • Proactively update customers on back-ordered parts and scheduled service dates via phone and email
  • Triage invoices requiring escalation
  • Manage a high volume of parts-related emails during peak summer months
  • Process credit card payments in accordance with company policy
  • Provide superior customer service and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Provide coverage for the Parts Purchaser and Parts Receiver during absences or vacations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous experience with parts ordering, receiving, and inventory processes
  • Strong customer service experience (phone and email communication required)
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
