Interventionist Teacher Anticipated

Position: Interventionist Teacher 5-7 Anticipated
Reports to:

Building Principal
Job Goal:
To provide direct instruction and tiered intervention to students who are identified using

student assessment data

Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct instruction and intervention to students to promote access and growth with
identified grade level standards
2. Participate as a member of the Data Team, Student Support Team, and MTSS Team
3. Analyze assessment data and identify student instructional needs and placement in intervention
groups
4. Collaborate to create and manage a flexible schedule for intervention
5. Provide high quality, research based instruction and interventions to individual student and small
groups of students
6. Collaborates with teachers on the development and implementation of high quality and research
based instruction and interventions
7. Communicates with teachers, administrators, and parents/caregivers regarding student progress
8. Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and
progress
9. Plans lessons with a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion
10. Plan for and utilize a variety of instructional techniques, materials, and instructional media,
consistent with the needs, interests, and abilities of students
11. Collaborates with the Assistant Superintendent, Curriculum Directors, building principals, and
other interventionists in planning and implementing professional development opportunities
12. Establishes and maintains a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning and
teaching
13. Manages and fully utilizes class time for instructional purposes
14. Provides supervision of students throughout the school day across settings and activities
15. Implement plans for students, including special education, health care, and 504 plans necessary
and provided
16. Completes daily/class attendance and other record keeping as required by the school
17. Complies with all building procedures, expectations, and schedules
18. Ensures the proper use and care of school equipment and property
19. Performs assigned duties, including but not limited to lunch, recess, bus, hall, etc.
20. Completes classroom preparation, organization, and clean up when necessary
21. Supports the social emotional needs of students through positive relationship building
22. Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal
