Sales Clerk Leader PT

Part Time Sales Clerk Leader – 20-29 hrs per week, Buzzards Bay, MA (Cape Cod Main Exchange)

Position:
Sales Clerk Leader. Salary: $20.00 per hour.

• Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, assist in merchandise selection.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns; provide outstanding service for customers in selecting goods and substitute items.
• Oversee overall operations of the sales department; coordinate ordering, receiving, pricing, and monitoring of stock levels.
• Support store management with price changes, markdowns, promotional sets and signage; communicate with HQ staff for special orders or merchandise issues.
• Assist in training employees on register and front‑end duties and contribute to employee evaluations.
• Operate cash register, accept cash, checks, credit cards, issue change, manage cash receipts, and maintain accurate records; regularly reconcile register tapes with Daily Activity Report.
• Maintain control and security of change fund, safe, and cash registers.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Supervise other employees and assume overall store responsibility in management’s absence.
• Adhere to policies regarding Loss Prevention, shrink awareness, and alert line procedures.
• Follow safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
• Work required weekends.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Minimum:
  Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds; stand for long periods.
• Preferred:
  Experience operating a cash register and knowledge of sales inventory.
• Preferred:
  Previous retail supervisory experience handling the above duties.
• Preferred:
  Current USCG NAF sales clerk with at least 6 months experience.
