Mobile Vehicle Technician

Overview

You'll be part of the Bournemouth cluster, covering areas like Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ringwood, Wareham, Swanage. You'll be out on the road in your local area, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments – no reactive callouts, just organised, pre‑booked work where you can focus on doing the job properly.

Your day starts with a clear digital schedule. Each job is pre-booked, with the member expecting you.

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In‑depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

From day one, you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set and advanced diagnostics. You’ll use your technical skill and problem‑solving ability to get people moving again; safely, quickly and confidently.

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

• Independence in a mobile role
• The stability and support of a trusted national organisation
• Ongoing development, including future EV and diagnostic skills

• Verwood, Dorset – Up to £52k OTE
• Full time, 40 hours per week with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, including 1 in 4 Saturdays
• Competitive base salary of £40,178, with on‑target earnings up to £52,000
