Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at Tesco across Bournemouth and Poole and surrounding areas, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our stores remain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of systems and equipment, helping to keep our operations running smoothly.

Your work will directly impact the shopping experience of thousands of customers every day. You’ll use your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently, always prioritising safety, compliance, and quality.

• Follow the planned work schedule to achieve first‑time fixes, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with team members, sharing best practice and knowledge.
• General day‑to‑day store and property maintenance.
• Use mobile devices; phone and tablet, to drive the best approach in work completion and updates.
• Represent the Tesco brand by demonstrating our core values (serving our customers, communities and planet a little better every day), maintaining a positive attitude & taking pride in wearing the Tesco uniform.
• Attend local and national meetings, providing valuable input and feedback.
• Support a diverse and inclusive culture.

With previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or construction environment, you will be digitally confident using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.

• ONC or equivalent
• Full driving licence
• Health & Safety awareness
• Communication & Collaboration
• Office 365 knowledge
• Completed all technical training upskilling modules relevant to abilities.

• Annual bonus scheme of up to 10% of base salary.
• Holiday starting at 25 days plus a personal day (plus Bank holidays).
