* Job Description:

** Responsible for providing guidance, explaining policies, and helping to secure the necessary funding for students to attend college.

Responsibilities include:

** Responsibilities:
*** Guide students and parents(families) through the financial aid process, including the completion of relevant forms such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
* Inform and educate students and parents (families) about different types of financial aid available, such as scholarships, grants, and loans
* Communicate with students about their financial aid package and any adjustments that may occur
* Assist students with loan applications, entrance and exit counseling, and debt management
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies and regulations
* Coordinate with other departments in the institution, including the admissions and registrar’s offices, to ensure accuracy in student records
* Help students understand the implications of their financial decisions, promoting responsible borrowing
* Responds to all student communication (email/phone calls) within 24 to 48 hours
* Conduct scheduled appointments with new and continuing students
* Conduct financial aid presentations and workshops for prospective and current students
