This role focuses on ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children through the flawless execution of safety measures, rituals, and routines.
Responsibilities- Work closely with team members to reinforce constant supervision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide feedback to team members on transition management techniques with a child-centric approach.
- Offer timely and specific feedback on improvements to minimize unsupervised situations.
- Communicate openly about supervision practices and coordinate with teachers and support staff to establish clear communication during transitions.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor, serving as a positive role model for both staff and children.
- Provide timely and accurate information in the event of an emergency or safety incident.
- Utilize the parent communication app to ensure accurate records are kept.
- Monitor and oversee every transition within the school to ensure child safety and supervision.
- Ensure transitions include name-to-face counts by the teacher and that the parent app is updated with accurate information.
- Ensure staff interactions with children during outdoor play are supervised and appropriately zoned for safety.
- Oversee daily operations related to childcare transitions, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
- Conduct regular sweeps of classrooms and outdoor play areas to ensure no child is left unsupervised.
- Identify trends and areas for improvement in transition management.
- Perform routine safety inspections to identify and rectify hazards.
- Review the School using the facilities audit checklist to ensure safety and alignment with licensing standards and brand standards.
- Perform safety and sleep checks during naptime to ensure proper spacing, sleeping positions, and supervision.
- Provide redirection or guidance to children during transitions to maintain appropriate supervision.
- Participate in ongoing training related to supervision, emergency response, and safety protocols.
- BA or BS degree in early childhood education or related discipline. Those with experience and an Associate’s Degree will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- 40-45 clock hours of administrative training, 9 clock hours of training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public.
- OCC conducted 3 clock-hour regulation training session.
- 45 clock hours of Infant/Toddler Training.
- 90 clock hours in Preschool Child Development and Curriculum Planning.
- 45 clock hours each in Child Development (birth through school age) and Curriculum for School Age Care.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare school.
- Management/Coaching experience required.
