Greenville ISD is seeking a dedicated and student‑focused 3rd Grade RLA Teacher for Bowie Elementary
. The ideal candidate is committed to strong literacy instruction, collaboration, and supporting bilingualism, biliteracy, and academic achievement for all students.
Plan and deliver effective Reading Language Arts instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) while supporting the academic, linguistic, social, and emotional development of students in compliance with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and district requirements.
QualificationsEducation / Certification:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with Core Subjects EC–6 or appropriate elementary certification
- Must meet all TEA certification and assignment requirements
- Knowledge of TEKS and evidence‑based literacy instructional practices
- Understanding of Dual Language (Two‑Way) instructional models preferred
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse linguistic and academic needs
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Elementary teaching experience preferred
- Experience in bilingual or dual language settings preferred
- Plan and implement engaging RLA lessons aligned with TEKS and district curriculum
- Support literacy development in alignment with the campus Dual Language (Two‑Way) model
- Use instructional strategies that promote language development, reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary
- Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional development
- Foster a classroom culture that values bilingualism, biliteracy, and multiculturalism
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and expectations
- Collaborate with grade‑level teams, bilingual/ESL staff, and instructional coaches
- Participate in professional development, PLCs, and faculty meetings
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and TEA requirements
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of instructional technology

- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain emotional control
