Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeach African American history survey courses ( HIST 114: African American History to 1865 and HIST 115: African American Historysince 1865). The standard teaching load is 4 classes/12 credit hours per semester. In addition, the candidate is expected toperform advisement and programmatic duties and scholarly work thatadds to the growth and maintenance of the department and itsstudents.

EducationA Ph.D. in History (focus on African American history or related discipline).
