Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs an Adjunct Professor inthe Bowie State University Prison Education Program, you will havethe unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of incarcerated students. Your responsibilities will include:
- A Masters degree in the respective field (or closely related).
- A Doctoral degree in the respective field (or closely related) is preferred.
- Experience working at an HBCU, with historicallymarginalized/disenfranchised groups and/or incarcerated students is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated expertise and competence in the subject area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
This position requires a strong commitment to commuting to the correctional facility where courseswill be held. You will be an essential part of bringing education to incarcerated individuals, and your willingness to work withinthe correctional facility’s environment is crucial to the successof the program.
