This is a paid internship opportunity for a college student or recent graduate who loves small children and is trustworthy. The Goddard School Bowie will support you in your educational endeavors while you gain professional work experience. The ideal candidate is enrolled or completed course work in in child and adolescence or early childhood education.

The intern will assist the Lead Teacher with the following:

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Advancing children’s physical and intellectual competence. Supporting each child’s social and emotional development and providing positive guidance.
• Establishing positive and effective family relations.
• Ensuring an effective program, responsive to children’s needs.
• Maintaining professional commitment.
