Managing Scientist – Electrical Engineering & Computer Science – Bowie, MD

We are currently seeking a Managing Scientist for our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice located in Bowie, MD. In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team solving scientific and engineering problems for our clients.

• Managing projects from initiation to completion; communicating project updates to team members, clients, and administrative staff; ensuring deadlines are met and exceptional work is delivered; identifying business development opportunities.
• Working with government security related products and projects.
• Presenting testing results, analyses, and recommendations to clients.
• Supporting on-site meetings, testing, or other activities at client sites.
• Attracting and developing new projects and clients.
• Building and leading diverse teams.
• Mentoring and developing technical staff.
• Providing project management and budget oversight.

• M.S. in science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field with relevant work experience.
• 6+ years post-graduation experience in data analytics or data science.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship and possession of or ability to obtain a DoD security clearance (required for U.S. Government contracts).
• Ability to interact with managers, engineers, non-technical personnel, and clients and present technical topics in a clear manner.
• Ability to translate data into appropriate graphical formats (considered a plus).
• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization programs such as Tableau (or others considered a plus).
• Prior government contracting experience considered a plus.
• Experience with machine learning considered a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior problem-solving abilities.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
