Civil Engineer – Land Development

About the Role

A dynamic, multifaceted Civil Engineer position at Atwell, providing opportunities to become a subject matter expert in residential, commercial, and industrial land development.

• Site Plan Excellence:
  Draft preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.
• Data Analysis:
  Analyze project survey data to assess existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
• Comprehensive Reporting:
  Prepare a variety of reports and recommendations, such as hydrology/hydraulic studies, due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer's opinion of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, detention/retention calculations, storm sewer reports, local and state permit applications, stormwater reports, soils reports, earthwork volume calculations, StormCAD reports, WaterCAD reports, and preliminary grading.
• Construction Support:
  Provide construction-related services, including permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals; organize site plans, construction plans, and construction documents under senior staff guidance.
• Engineering Software Mastery:
  Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments efficiently and in line with established standards.
• Effective Communication:
  Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with team members to ensure seamless project coordination.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years of experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD preferred

Pay Range: $75,000 USD - $126,000 USD.
