Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations to identify functional strengths and areas for improvement
Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on meaningful daily activities and patient goals
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve independence in ADLs and mobility
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
Document progress clearly and timely, ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home modifications, and durable medical equipment
Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care
Qualifications
Current Occupational Therapy license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain state licensure
NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation, post-acute care, or similar settings is a plus
Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and a collaborative mindset
Clean professional references and the ability to pass background checks as required
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (OT); entry-level Master's or OTD preferred
Knowledge & Skills
Skilled in occupational therapy assessments and standardized outcome measures
Proficient with care planning, therapeutic activity selection, and ADL training
Experience with adaptive equipment recommendations and environmental modifications
Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
Comfortable with documentation systems and meeting facility compliance expectations
Ability to prioritize caseloads and deliver efficient, patient-focused care
