DSP, Community Living Services​/Residential

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Community Living Services/Residential will be committed to supporting the organization’s mission of ensuring quality support services are provided and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are both respected and afforded opportunities to choose and participate in and access community events, activities, and resources.

• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by adopting a “person-centered” approach.
• Teach independent living and daily skills by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines.
• Actively plan, coordinate, and participate with residents in social activities including frequent community outings.
• Instruct, support, and participate in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, and food shopping.

• Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid Driver's License
• Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided
• Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or with other types of special needs populations (rehabilitation settings, nursing homes, psychiatric hospitals, other behavioral health settings, etc.)
