Recruiting Specialist

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) and Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) are seeking a motivated, personable, and energetic Recruiting Specialist to join our Corporate Recruiting team in Abingdon, MD. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is eager to learn, and wants to build a career in recruiting.

Previous recruiting or HR experience is helpful, but we are more interested in finding the right person - someone who is personable, organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating with a variety of people. We will provide training and support as you learn our recruiting processes and the engineering and technical positions we support.

Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM, with occasional overtime as required. This position will initially be in-office, with potential for a hybrid schedule after a training period of approximately 6-9 months. Dress code is business casual.

• Source and engage active and passive candidates through Linked In Recruiter, social media, and other recruiting platforms
• Coordinate and schedule virtual and in-person interviews
• Pre-screen candidates and conduct reference checks
• Prepare and send offer letters and coordinate the offer process
• Post and manage job openings through our ATS, Linked In, Indeed, and other sites
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process
• Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information in the ATS
• Support onboarding by coordinating new hire paperwork and pre-employment requirements
• Learn about the engineering, environmental, surveying, construction, and related positions we recruit for
• Stay current on recruiting trends, tools, and best practices

• Personable and confident communicator who enjoys interacting with people
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in recruiting and helping people find the right opportunities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assignments
• Professional, positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new software and technology
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or a related field preferred, not required
• Previous recruiting, customer service, sales, or other people-focused experience is a plus
• Must be US citizen or Permanent Resident - visa sponsorship is not available for this role
