Job Overview
Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking to hire a Linux Systems Administrator Level 1 for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction area.
A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph from the MD Customer is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time.
Responsibilities- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
- Support IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems.
- Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
- Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Experience and qualifications required:
- Five (5) years experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Certifications:
An IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01‑M, or ability to obtain within 6 months from start date. - Experience with Linux.
- Experience with container/cloud environments.
- Experience with storage management.
- Virtualization experience.
- IP networking and firewall experience.
- Experience with automation tools (bonus).
- Solid understanding of PKI/TLS/crypto including crypto policies.
- Application support and general troubleshooting.
- Experience with SSP compliance, maintaining STE/STN compliance and support on Linux systems.
