Job Description
IDS is seeking a Senior-Level User Experience (UX) Designer to support the Analysis and Mitigation mission through UX design and frontend development for Agentic Knowledge Management Systems. The designer will conduct user research, develop frontend solutions, and maintain UX documentation to support integration with backend systems and mission workflows.
Key Duties- Write and maintain frontend code to implement UX designs
- Design and conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop frontend components using modern web technologies
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend code with existing backend services
- Ensure frontend implementations meet performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility requirements
- Develop and maintain UX documentation including design guidelines, style guides, technical plans, milestones, and user guides
- Bachelor's degree with eight (8) years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with six (6) years, or Doctoral degree with four (4) years
- Alternatively, Associate's degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED with twelve (12) years of relevant experience
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Java Script
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks including React and Vue.js
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Salary range: $145,000 - $165,000
