Senior Applied AI Engineer (ITG)

Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. The ITG Senior Applied AI Engineer provides secondary leadership and serves as the primary backup for one or more Matrix Teams. A matrix team is a technical steering committee focused on architecture, operational health, management, and monitoring of systems grouped by technical function.

• Conceive, design, and oversee the implementation of enterprise-wide systems development.
• Research and recommend software products to address business requirements.
• Ensure that the business and technical architecture of delivered solutions match customer requirements.
• Develop, maintain and execute documentation, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the day‑to‑day sustaining activities for the FTI global enterprise application infrastructure.
• Proactively meet with clients to determine business requirements, document specifications for recommendations of software solutions, and ensure that existing solutions continue to meet customer expectations and requirements.
• Execute and maintain Operation Calendars, use and compliance with FTI’s Change Management Control Process, incident reporting and tracking.
• Use and comply with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards when developing solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive NOC operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, resolution of issues and escalation to appropriate technical resources.
• Analyze and maintain performance data to ensure optimal usage of software applications.
• Assist in the development and management of all budgetary expenses related to the applications development teams.

• 5 years of application or software development experience, including 2 years within FTI.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Python and C#/.NET, with proven experience deploying AI solutions within the Azure AI ecosystem (e.g., MS Copilot, Azure AI Foundry).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Four‑year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• High‑level certification in a core area (MCAD, MCSD, or MCDBA).
• Project management experience.
• Experience with Windows 2003 server, IIS, SharePoint, and SQL Server 2000 or 2005.

• Experience building and deploying generative AI solutions using large language models (LLMs) into production.
• Hands‑on exposure to AI agent frameworks or modern orchestration tools (such as Semantic Kernel, Lang Chain, or Autogen).
• Experience with support and maintenance of COTS Enterprise ERP solutions.

Minimum Pay: $123,500
Maximum Pay: $216,000
Compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
