Salary
The typical annual salary range for this position is $ USD to $ USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
Responsibilities- Shall have at least eight (8) years’ experience in Dev Ops development/engineering such as installing and configuring software; managing servers, networks, and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining systems for required levels of security, performance, and accreditation; and troubleshooting issues and outages
- Shall have at least eight (8) years’ experience in Dev Ops technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ELK
- Shall have at least eight (8) years’ experience in scripting such as Terraform, Ansible
- Shall have familiarity with developing Dev Ops for Microsoft Windows or UNIX/Linux/Centos family of operating systems
- Shall understand technical writing and have familiarity with technical documents in support of a software development project
- Efforts will focus on Dev Ops engineering of a modernization effort to converge NSA’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools
- Deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages
- Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call‑in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks)
- Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked
- Work location is a combination of 135 National Business Parkway, Annapolis Junction, MD and up to 1 day per week of telework as project tasking allows
Qualifications / Required technical skills include experience with:
- Linux
- AWS, MASH, and VMs
- Docker Swarm
- Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. Git Lab CI/CD)
- Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
- Ansible scripting and development
- Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
- Git
Desired Experience / technical skills include experience with:
- Python scripting and development
- NiFi maintenance and configuration
- Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
- Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)
- HAProxy
- MongoDB
