EIS Groups is seeking a solution-focused and customer-oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our Information Technology team in an onsite capacity. This position is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, working directly with employees, and ensuring technology operates efficiently across the organization.
As a Desktop Support Technician at EIS Groups, you will serve as an important point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and connectivity problems while helping maintain a reliable and secure IT environment.
Your Role at EIS GroupsYou will work closely with employees and internal IT teams to provide timely, professional, and effective technical support. The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands-on onsite technical support to EIS Groups employees.
- Receive, document, prioritize, and resolve hardware and software support requests.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, network, and connectivity issues.
- Configure and deploy new computers, routers, modems, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems and business applications.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of IT equipment and installations.
- Provide onsite and remote technical assistance when required.
- Assist employees with software, hardware, account-access, and connectivity issues.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
. - A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred
. - Previous experience as a Desktop Support Technician, IT Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician, or similar IT position.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining computers and related equipment.
- Familiarity with Team Viewer or comparable remote-support platforms
. - Ability to provide effective onsite and remote technical support
. - Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, installation, and problem-solving.
