PRN Health Nurse Brooklyn, MD

Job Overview

We are currently searching for an experienced PRN Health Home Nurse for our Brooklyn, MD location. The position is a Dispensing Nurse role responsible for daily monitoring of patient needs and care for all patients reporting to the OTP clinic.

• PRN hours can vary between 5:30 am – 2:00 pm and rotating Saturdays 6:00 am – 10:00 am.
• Perform all duties within scheduled hours.
• Verify patient identity and medication using two identifiers.
• Ensure medical services comply with federal, state, CARF, and COMAR regulations and standards.
• Manage medication inventory and dispense medication according to protocol.
• Process medical orders and perform physical examinations and medical evaluations as required.
• Recall patients in accordance with program protocol.
• Maintain accurate records and submit all documentation within 24 hours of event.
• Collect specimens and submit/ process appropriately.
• Participate in the review of new, re‑admission, and transfer clients.
• Provide intervention in crisis situations and assist Charge Nurse in daily program operations.
• Assess clients for treatment needs and interventions.
• Coordinate referrals, dosage verification, and other elements of care with outside agencies.
• Deliver medication as needed and maintain a cooperative, positive attitude toward patients, staff, and visitors.

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland.
• At least 1 year of experience in medication‑assisted treatment.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Required to submit to PPD screening or provide record of screening from a previous employer within the past year.

Base pay ranges between $35 hour to $45 hour. Location, experience, licensure, education, and skill level may impact pay.
