Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician

Must be a current member of Steamfitters Local 602 or willing to join.

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment to ensure reliable system performance. This role includes preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, and communicating clearly with customers and internal teams. Participation in an on-call rotation (evenings/weekends) is required.

• Repair, install, maintain, and adjust HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Respond to service requests in a timely manner
• Communicate work performed and recommended repairs to customers and office team
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Experience servicing medium to large tonnage commercial/industrial equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Ability to make repair vs. replacement recommendations
• Knowledge of commercial building systems
• Experience with chillers, VRF/VRV, boilers, or commercial refrigeration is a plus
