Leidos offers a dynamic opportunity for Software Engineers at all levels in the Intelligence Sector’s Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) across Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations, Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Cryptographic Key Management.
Job SummaryThe Software Engineer will perform software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities as a member of an Agile development team building a large complex enterprise system. Development includes turning Agile user stories into implementable concepts, through development, unit testing, integration, and deployment of new capabilities. The role follows BDD pattern, implements robust testing, leverages Dev Ops automation, and uses commercial test automation tools where appropriate.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and PI planning.
- Analyze and study complex system requirements and produce design artefacts (formal specifications, data‑flow diagrams, etc.).
- Write code that is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault‑tolerant, and reusable.
- Apply software process management and control throughout coding and promote code reuse and cross‑program collaboration.
- Engineer, author, tune, and document automation scripts; deploy scripts to test and production environments.
- Support both server‑side business logic and client web application/UI development using Java, Python, embedded C/C++, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, etc.
- BS degree and 12–15years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 10–13years of experience.
- Minimum 2years of experience for junior level.
- Demonstrated experience with Java.
- Experience with multiple Java frameworks:
Spring (Boot, Data), JEE (JPA, EJB, JTA, Servlet), Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX. - Experience with JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
- Experience with IDEs:
Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, Web Storm. - Experience with Oracle, Postgre
SQL, Mongo
DB, SQLServer. - Experience with web‑application UI development, Angular
JS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT, and databases. - Experience with source‑control and configuration‑management tools.
- Experience developing on Windows operating systems.
- Professional experience with web services.
- Strong understanding of sound software‑development principles and practices.
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and communicate effectively.
- Independent thinker capable of high‑quality work in a fast‑moving environment.
- Experience with JEE (EJB, JPA, JTA, JAX‑B, JAX‑RS, JAX‑WS), SQL, application servers (Tomcat, Web Logic, JBoss), Spring framework, and scripting.
- Experience with XML/XSD/SOAP/WSDL/XSLT, REST, JSON, YAML, containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Open Shift).
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks:
Angular
JS, Bootstrap, jQuery. - Experiences with testing and mocking frameworks: JUnit, Jupiter, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, UFT, Selenium, FITNesse.
- Familiarity with build tools:
Maven, CMake, RPM, Jenkins, Nexus. - Experience developing on Linux operating systems.
- Experience with cryptographic technologies (symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, ASN.
1, XML canonicalization, digital signatures). - Experience with secure‑systems engineering, trade‑off analysis, interface control, testing, and continuous integration.
- Experience in Agile practices such as Pair Programming, TDD, Refactoring, ATDD, and BDD.
- Experience with Scrum, SAFe, and related certifications.
TS/SCI with Polygraph.
