Summary
Full-time truck driver position. Expected schedule Monday‑Friday 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM with potential for evening and weekend work. Overtime pay available. Duties include driving a light‑duty vehicle (truck or van) with less than 26,000 pounds GVW, delivering construction supplies to client sites or offices on a daily route.
Duties- Obey traffic laws and established transportation procedures.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment (gas, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes).
- Report mechanical problems.
- Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered.
- Load and unload daily shipments.
- Verify contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
- Maintain vehicle logs and other required records.
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic incidents to base or other vehicles via telephone or two‑way radio.
- Communicate arrival to customers by phone or text and act as company liaison.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds safely.
- Ability to exit and enter vehicle multiple times per day.
- Must climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in small spaces.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving and delivery experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current DOT Physical Card or ability to pass a standard DOT Physical.
- Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation and load securing.
- Inspect vehicle daily, keep it clean and maintain in good working condition.
- Collect fares or payment from customers.
- Operate vehicle or material‑moving equipment.
- Read maps and GPS tracking to determine routes.
- Respond to emergencies, problems, or hazards.
