Assistant Manager - Accounting

Job Description

General Position Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of accounting department engaged in calculating, posting and verifying duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing the following duties and others as they are assigned by the Treasurer.

Essential Functions

• Manage the Accounting Department with accuracy and timeliness
• Assist in preparation of closing journal entries and oversee preparation of Financial Statements
• Oversee preparation of documentation and conduct of Financial Audits
• Insure that Physical Inventory is conducted and valued correctly
• Maintain Cost Systems and Profitability Reports
• Preparation of Annual Budget and Profit Plan
• Manage Cash Flow
• Maintain relationship with banking partners
• Compile composite reports required by Management or Government Agencies
• Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Work Experience Requirements

• Accounting Experience
• Supervisory Experience
• Strong Cost Accounting and Inventory Valuation Experience
• International Business Familiarity

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversees Accounting personnel, supporting the Accounting Manager
