Position: Claims Examiner 2 - PN 20064970 - Mansfield

What You’ll Do

Under general supervision, prepares 1st and 2nd level claim issues for hearings and hearing officer review using personal computer applications (CAS, ECM, Case Manager, Share Point, ICON, BWC) for data retrieval, verification, resolution, tracking and organization.

  • Reviews issues according to established Workers’ Compensation laws and Industrial Commission rules, policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes time‑management skills to meet deadlines and legislative time frames.
  • Uploads and verifies accuracy of documents uploaded by internal and external customers to ensure an accurate hearing folder.
  • Answers inquiries from internal and external customers regarding the claims process and claims status.
  • Backs up the customer service counter as assigned.
Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percentages and in reading, writing and speaking common English vocabulary; 3 months training or 3 months experience in office practices and procedures.

  • Or 6 months experience as Claims Examiner 1, 16791.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
