District Administrator (South District)
The Kentucky Conference of The United Methodist Church is seeking a qualified and mission‑driven individual to serve as District Administrator for the South District.
The Kentucky Conference, one of more than 50 regional bodies of The United Methodist Church, encompasses over 300 churches organized into four districts across the Commonwealth. Led by a Bishop, the Conference brings together clergy and lay members annually for worship, fellowship, and the conduct of Conference business, including the election of delegates to General Conference, budget adoption, clergy ordination, and reports from Conference ministries and agencies.
The mission of the Kentucky Conference is to discover, develop, and send passionate spiritual leaders and resources to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Position SummaryThe District Administrator plays a key role in supporting the ministry and operations of the South District by providing administrative and organizational support to the District Superintendent. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the district office while serving as a resource to pastors, lay leaders, congregations, and Conference ministries.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills, as well as a commitment to supporting the mission and ministries of the Kentucky Conference. The District Administrator reports directly to the South District Superintendent.
Qualifications- Associate’s degree
- Minimum of three years of relevant administrative or office experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in a local church or faith‑based organization
- Full‑time, 40 hours per week
- Occasional peak seasons may require additional hours
- Hybrid work environment with required in‑office presence
- Office location will be provided in either Glasgow, Bowling Green, or Columbia, Kentucky
- Immediate start date preferred; flexibility may be available for the selected candidate
Employment Category: Non‑Exempt
Salary: $40,000 annually
