Under direction of the Associate Registrar, the Administrative Assistant provides front-desk and customer service support for the Registrar's Office while assisting with registration, student verifications, payments, student worker supervision, and other administrative and records-related processes. Specific duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Serve as the primary front desk and telephone contact for the Registrar's Office, providing professional and timely assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Process registration-related requests and transactions in Banner, including KIIS registration, departmental registration requests, WX drops, honors augmentation, and other registration and student record activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Process education and enrollment verifications, including good student discount and deferment forms, while providing general administrative support to the Registrar's Office by responding to inquiries, processing miscellaneous forms and items received through the Registrar's email inbox, and assisting students and members of the campus community with in-person needs.
- Supervise and coordinate student workers, including hiring, scheduling, assigning daily tasks, and providing direction and support.
- Receive and process in-person payments for transcript orders and other Registrar's Office services requiring payment; prepare and process related money transmittals in accordance with established cash-handling and university procedures.
- Process and manage Blackboard course merges in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Demonstrated record of reliable and consistent attendance, punctuality, and dependability, with the ability to maintain regular work hours and provide dependable front desk coverage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential student information in accordance with FERPA and institutional requirements.
Hourly Rate: $18.00
