Service Technician

Thornhill CDJR is seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team in South Williamson, KY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and safety.

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and manufacturer guidelines.
• Repair or replace defective parts, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes.
• Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle status and necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and participate in ongoing training sessions.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Service Technician or Automotive Mechanic preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.

We are looking for a CHRYSLER Certified Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE & Ford certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
• Ford Certification
• Previous experience at a CHRYSLER dealership is preferred
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
