Senior Superintendent – Telecommunications Construction

Ledcor Technical Services has been building and servicing communication networks for customers across North America since 1979. We customize solutions to best meet our client's needs and provide quality, reliability, and safety. We are seeking experienced Senior Superintendents for large‑scale long‑haul fiber installation projects.

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Maintain working knowledge of reporting and tracking financial aspects of the project.
• Participate in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and superintendents.

• 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
• Post‑secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as subcontractors.
• Problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
• This is a site‑based position that requires travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites in multiple states.
