Job Overview
Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites for Primoris Energy Services projects in Russel Springs, Kentucky, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
Responsibilities- Operate various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders, for construction and maintenance projects.
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, reporting any defects or malfunctions to supervisors.
- Load and unload materials, grade and level earth, dig trenches, and prepare sites according to project plans and specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other personnel to ensure project success.
- Complete daily production reports and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Assist with manual labor and other tasks as needed to support construction operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Possess relevant heavy equipment operator certifications (e.g., NCCER) preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
