Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Valid Ohio Teaching License in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive or equivalent
- Experience in diagnostic assessments to determine instructional needs of students
- Ability to write an I.E.P. to develop instructional goals and objectives based on the student’s needs in cooperation with an I.E.P. team
- Organizational skills leading to implementation of instructional goals and objectives
- Ability to develop instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities in the regular classroom
- Ability to assist general education classroom teachers in implementing instructional strategies to meet the needs of students
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with special needs at the Middle School level
- Familiar with and capable of utilizing computer applications to enhance instruction
- Experience with Behavioral Interventions
- Knowledge of crisis prevention and strategies for de-escalation
- Experience with co‑teaching
