Job | Start Time: 9:40 | Working Calendar: 187 days, 7 hours per day | Salary
Schedule:
1A Grade 4
The position is a non-certified classroom instructional assistant providing support in Exceptional Child Education (ECE) classrooms for students with various disabilities. The assistant will assist in implementing individual education plans and maintain a safe learning environment.
Scope of Responsibilities- Assist in implementing each student's individual education plan.
- Create and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
- Provide support to students with disabilities, including physical assistance such as positioning, toileting, and lifting.
- Participate in district ECE in-service professional development.
- Support classroom activities and adapt materials as needed for students with disabilities.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D., or completion of 48 college semester hours.
- Passing score on the Kentucky Para educator Exam (KPA) or 48 college semester hours.
- Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
- Physical ability and willingness to assist students with physical needs.
- Willingness to attend district ECE in-service for professional growth.
Hourly rate: $18.27 to $20.07. Critical Need stipend: $3.50 per hour. ECE Instructional Assistant stipend: $1.00 per hour.
BenefitsSalary schedule follows Board-approved rules. 187-day calendar with 7 hours per day.
