Job SummaryExceptional Child Education programs are designed to meet the needs of students whose learning approach differs from their peers. This role assists with implementing each student's Individual Education Plan, maintaining a safe and structured learning environment, and working with students with disabilities.
Scope of Responsibilities- Assist in implementing each student's Individual Education Plan.
- Help establish and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
- Display willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Passing score on the Kentucky Para educator Exam (KPA) or 48 college semester hours.
- Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
- Physical ability and willingness to assist with physical needs of students such as positioning, toileting, and lifting.
- Willingness to attend district ECE in‑service for professional growth.
