- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state teaching license/certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Assess students abilities and progress, and modify instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and other professionals to support students academic and social-emotional growth
- Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social skills
- Utilize assistive technology and other acmodations to support students learning
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participation in accordance with school and district policies
