Our client, an award-winning and well-established water resources consulting firm, is seeking a Professional Engineer to support municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects out of its Bowling Green, Kentucky office.
This role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle
, from planning and design through construction support, with strong compensation and incentive pay tied to effort and performance.
- Deliver municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects from concept through construction
- Perform conceptual planning and feasibility studies
- Prepare engineering design reports and technical memoranda
- Develop plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Provide bidding and construction engineering support
- Design and analyze:
- Pump stations
- Sanitary and stormwater collection systems
- Water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Coordinate with municipalities, internal teams, and contractors
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- M.S. or Ph.D. a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Indiana or Kentucky
- Reciprocity acceptable
- Experience with municipal water/wastewater/stormwater systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Experience with Visual Hydraulics and/or WaterGEMS
- Broad exposure across planning, design, and construction support
- Interest in mentoring and technical leadership
- Creative, problem-solving mindset
Base salary ranges (commensurate with experience and years as a PE):
- PE < 5 years: $90,000 – $110,000
- PE 5–10 years: $110,000 – $120,000
- PE 10–15 years: $120,000 – $130,000
- PE 15–20 years: $130,000 – $150,000
- PE 20+ years: $150,000 – $180,000
