Role:
Automation Project & Compliance Engineer

We are seeking a mid-level Automation Project & Compliance Engineer to support the design, implementation, commissioning, and validation of automation and automated warehouse systems within a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical environment. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure compliant, reliable, and efficient automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, implementation, and validation of automation solutions, including ASRS and AGVs, in a GMP environment.
  • Lead and support automation system testing, commissioning, startup, and qualification activities.
  • Ensure automation technologies and project milestones remain on schedule and compliant.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Commissioning & Qualification (CQV), Safety, Production, Site IT, and Engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and system integrators to support automation projects.
  • Troubleshoot automation system issues and recommend effective technical solutions.
  • Support compliance with GMP, data integrity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to automation and compliance.
Required Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Automation / Robotics
  • Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Candidates with degrees in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields will be considered with strong automation experience.
Experience
  • 5–7 years of automation engineering experience
  • 4–5 years of pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated industry experience (Biopharma preferred)
  • Hands‑on experience with automation systems commissioning, startup, and validation
  • Experience working with third‑party vendors
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, industrial networks, and field devices
  • Ability to lead troubleshooting and recommend automation solutions
  • Understanding of GMP compliance and validation practices
