** POSITION SUMMARY
** Marathon Petroleum Company, LP the fourth largest petroleum refining and marketing corporation in the United States, has an immediate opening for a
** Utility Lab Tester
** at its Catlettsburg, Kentucky refinery.
** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Perform product and process lab testing on petroleum distillates, black oil, diesel, and water per Marathon and ASTM standardized methods.
* Input lab results in the LIMS database.
* Issue Certificates of Analyses for finished product.
* Support refinery operations, terminals, and customers.
* Drive a company vehicle to pick up and deliver samples.
* Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
*** A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree in a science related field and a minimum of four (4) college courses in chemistry and two (2) college chemistry lab courses from an accredited technical college or university is required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
* A valid driver’s license is preferred.
