Metallurgist
Salt Fork, OH area
$100,000-$110,000/year
Our client is a leading, global company that was founded almost 75 years ago and continues to grow. They are known for their production and recycling capabilities and have recently completed a multi-million dollar expansion. They are in need of a Metallurgist to join their team.
Responsibilities:- Interpreting and analyzing tests on materials
- Investigating any issues with materials
- Auditing and maintaining quality systems
- Assisting with continuous improvements throughout the plant
- Using SPC, root cause analysis and other tools to improve processes and resolve issues
- Complying with all environmental and safety regulations
- A BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy, along with 5 or more years of related experience. Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, steels or metals is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Lean, process improvements, etc
- Experience with ISO 9001
