Overview of role

The Finance Systems & Reporting Analyst is a stakeholder focused, data driven professional responsible for supporting front end financial applications and reporting tools, transforming financial and operational data into meaningful insights, and enabling efficient, high quality reporting across the firm.

This role combines user support, advanced reporting, and business analysis, and requires strong communication skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across all offices, practice groups, and business services teams.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

Global Financial Reporting Team / Finance Support

Salary Band US $100,000 – US $120,000

  • Develop and produce management reports, dashboards and KPIs for leadership, ensuring information is accurate, consistency and provides actionable insight.
  • Prepare elements of group financial statements and consolidations, with supporting analysis and reconciliations.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances and key performance drivers, providing clear recommendations.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting packs, templates and bespoke materials to support business and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Support forecasting and planning processes through data preparation, validation and analysis.
  • Drive improvements in reporting processes, analytics frameworks and data visualisation.
  • Provide first and second line support for finance systems, including Aderant Expert, Big Hand/Iridium BI, Power BI and SQL‑based tools.
  • Troubleshoot system and data issues, validate outputs and resolve anomalies to ensure data integrity.
  • Support system integrations (e.g. Aderant, Intapp, BI tools and HR systems), configurations, upgrades and testing cycles.
  • Translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions and technical specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, including use of SQL jobs, workflows and BI automation tools.
  • Support data governance, including data quality controls, metadata documentation and standardisation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Finance, IT, PMO and wider stakeholders to enhance systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end users on finance systems and reporting tools across teams and offices.
  • Support audit requirements and contribute to documentation, process mapping and project delivery initiatives.
  • Undertake any other duties or project work as required in support of the Finance function and wider business.
Education, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial reporting, finance systems or data analytics, ideally within a professional services or multi‑office environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with working knowledge of SQL (T‑SQL), Power BI and SSRS.
  • Experience with financial systems such as Aderant Expert and Big Hand/Iridium BI (or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large datasets, identify trends and produce clear, actionable insights.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting cycles, including reconciliations and consolidations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to validate outputs and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Well‑organised and able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and operate effectively in a fast‑paced, global environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for different audiences.
  • Ability to document processes, system configurations and controls clearly and accurately.
  • Proactive, collaborative and able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Willing and able to accommodate work requirements beyond standard hours.
