College Financial Representatives in Northwestern Mutual’s internship program are taught how to build a financial planning practice from the ground up. Students come from diverse academic backgrounds, gain exposure to exclusive financial products, and receive coaching from a Fortune 500 company. They build confidence, develop a professional network, and help clients achieve financial freedom.

• Prepare financial plans and offer recommendations
• Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms
• Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings
• Obtain life, accident, and health state licensing

• Full‑time student; juniors and seniors preferred
• Entrepreneurial and sales‑savvy
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, student orgs, student gov)
• Excellent time‑management skills
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools
• Business savvy and desire to increase critical thinking abilities
