Nurse Scheduler (QMA / CNA)
Majestic Care of Kent is looking for a Nurse Scheduler (RN/LPN) to join our team’s mission and core values.

The Nurse Scheduler generates, manages, and updates master schedules, making adjustments as needed to meet budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call‑ins, and pre‑planned leaves of absence.
Key Responsibilities- Fulfill staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Recommend new approaches and effective scheduling practices to continually improve staffing efficiency.
- Advises and communicates with the Executive Director and Director of Nursing on staffing, scheduling needs, and shortages identified during assessment of nursing schedules.
- Serve as liaison between the Director of Nursing Services, Executive Director, and Human Resources when a potential leave or assistance situation is identified with a Care Team Member.
- Handle inquiries from Care Team Members regarding scheduling and provide solutions where needed.
- Validate PTO availability with Human Resources prior to approval.
- Maintain meticulous attendance records and communicate when staff members accrue excessive absences or tardies.
- Communicate with Unit Managers and the Director of Nursing Services regarding floor orientation schedules for newly hired Care Team Members in the nursing department.
- Check time‑clock punch records daily against master schedules and note appropriate changes.
- Sign time‑correction forms for events such as missing meal periods or forgetting to clock in/out.
- Utilize computer software to prepare, change, and update the master schedule.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekend and holiday rotations and the on‑call schedule rotation.
- Occasionally work the floor if holding an LPN/RN license.
- Previous scheduling experience in a long‑term care setting preferred.
- Active LPN and/or RN license in good standing required.
- Preference for medical records experience; not required.
