• Provide technical support to all users within the organization including computer maintenance and troubleshooting user problems in an effective, efficient manner.
• Provide customer support by troubleshooting any problems and/or concerns and is responsible for performing all computer maintenance.
• Maintain a complete inventory of all computer equipment and peripherals.
• Be responsible for complete configurations of user computers so that it is ready for use as well as upgrades for both software and hardware.
• Assign license numbers to all software/new materials received.
• Administer the user and LAN accounts allowing access to local area network.
• Provide non‑critical support for Production software issues acting as software help desk for users.
• Schedule and facilitate training programs for software packages used at KIRCHHOFF Automotive. Develop and prepare handouts and training material.
• Administer e‑mail, Internet access and functionality.
• Be responsible for all hardware and software upgrades to all applicable devices.
• Participate in ongoing Continuous Improvement processes.
• When required, adherence to the Corporate Policies and Procedures is expected in order to maintain business systems. These requirements will be audited by the Corporate Managers on an ongoing basis.
• Corporate Managers are also to be called upon to support projects.
• Any other reasonable request made by management.
• Contribute to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to.
• Ensure full compliance with the laws of Ontario and/or any other province or state, while representing KIRCHHOFF Automotive or during the use of any KIRCHHOFF Automotive provided equipment.
• Judgement – exercise judgement re: determining root cause of employee concern and handling situation in a timely, effective manner.
• Accountability – be accountable in areas of:
  • Providing a high level of service in meeting the needs/concerns of employees with regard to systems issues.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records that are audited yearly.
  • Completing and maintaining inventory of all purchase requisitions and following up when items not received.
• Contacts – establish/maintain relationships:
  • Employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Suppliers, i.e. Dell Computer Corporation.

• 3‑5 years work related experience in a computer environment.
• Knowledge of hardware operating systems, telephone and fax modem functionality.
• Good understanding of IATF 16949/ISO 14001 requirements.

• Ability to effectively operate relevant computer systems and PCs.
• Uses positive interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
• Effective use of problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to perform multi‑tasks while still meeting customer requirements.
• Ability to deal with conflict.
• Collects, analyzes and synthesizes information in order to determine root cause of problem.
