Supply Chain Manager

We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead Purchasing, Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, Shipping, Receiving, and Material Flow activities across our manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for ensuring materials, components, and supplies are available to support customer demand and production schedules while maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing material flow, improving warehouse efficiency, and driving operational performance.
Responsibilities Supply Chain & Materials Management- Lead purchasing, inventory control, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and material management operations
- Ensure material availability supports production schedules and customer commitments
- Monitor inventory health, shortages, replenishment activities, and material flow
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives balancing service levels, inventory turns, and cash flow objectives
- Lead inventory accuracy programs including cycle counting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Develop and implement inventory control best practices and process standardization
- Ensure warehouse layouts and storage methods support operational efficiency
- Lead and develop buyers responsible for production and indirect material procurement
- Monitor purchasing activity to ensure alignment with MRP requirements and production schedules
- Support supplier performance initiatives related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and service
- Identify and mitigate supplier‑related risks, shortages, and constraints
- Partner with sourcing and operational leadership on supplier management initiatives
- Support cost reduction and operational improvement efforts
- Oversee shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
- Ensure customer shipments are completed accurately and on time
- Monitor warehouse efficiency, inventory movement, and operational performance
- Support freight and transportation coordination efforts
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
- Develop KPI reporting related to inventory accuracy, shipping performance, and material availability
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- 5–8+ years of progressive supply chain, materials management, inventory, logistics, or purchasing leadership experience
- Experience leading purchasing, inventory control, warehouse, shipping, and receiving functions
- Strong understanding of manufacturing material flow and production support requirements
- Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and planning
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and employee development capabilities
- Experience with in metal fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or make‑to‑order manufacturing environments
- Experience leading buyers, warehouse supervisors, inventory control teams, and supply chain personnel
- Inventory optimization and inventory turns improvement experience
- Strong cycle counting and inventory accuracy management experience
- Experience implementing warehouse process improvements and material flow optimization
- KPI-driven management experience
- Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience
- Experience supporting new product introductions and engineering change management processes
