Position Summary

The Trade Compliance Analyst ensures compliance with U.S. and Canadian trade regulations by auditing customs entries, managing valuation and documentation requirements, and supporting programs such as CTPAT and duty drawback. The Analyst works with customs brokers, manufacturing facilities, sourcing vendors and internal departments to ensure the accuracy of invoices, declared values and other data elements for U.S. and Canada entries.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Conduct monthly audits of US and Canadian entries and support documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to trade compliance regulations.
  • Review third-party invoices to determine if costs must be included in the declared customs value of imported goods, ensuring compliance with valuation regulations.
  • Monitor and track Fed Ex shipments to determine cause of delayed delivery and holds, and provide required documentation to facilitate resolution.
  • Compile and organize required import/export documentation to identify and support duty Drawback claims, in compliance with customs regulations.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to support analysis and decision-making for various departments.
  • Review annual CTPAT questionnaires from vendors and internal manufacturing locations, address identified deficiencies, and support ongoing activities within the company’s CTPAT program.
  • Prepare and submit Post Summary Corrections and Protests to U.S. and Canada Customs brokers. Monitor related financial activities by tracking refunds and additional bills from both U.S. and Canada Customs.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support department objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to interpret and apply customs regulations accurately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Minimum Job Experience Required
  • 1+ years of experience in international trade, customs compliance or logistics preferred.
