Position Overview

Manager, Equipment Rental

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, empowering manager to lead a team of Equipment Rental Specialists, ensuring top‑level customer service, contract accuracy, and customer satisfaction. The role drives strategic and tactical decisions that support company growth.

• Oversee the overall performance and efficiency of the Equipment Rental Specialists team.
• Provide motivation and development to maximize performance and productivity.
• Participate in planning and development of sales goals and metrics.
• Consistently meet or exceed daily objectives related to sales and customer service.
• Engage in weekly Profit Center meetings to review progress.
• Improve Profit Center service quality results steadily.
• Coordinate deliveries accurately with the PC dispatcher.
• Work with the Service Manager to resolve equipment‑related customer issues.
• Coordinate daily with Sales Manager and OSRs within the PC and other PCs in the district to facilitate rentals.
• Train and develop new Equipment Rental Specialists.
• Handle customer service issues and complaints directly.
• Assist AR with collections (issue credits, obtain job information, etc.).

• 5–8 years of customer service, equipment rental, or related experience.
• Good working understanding of the construction market, job phases, needs, and product line.
• Continuous learning of industry knowledge.
• Basic understanding of general business management principles and practices.
• Commitment to business goals and ability to encourage staff to meet those goals.
• Professional image and credibility with employees and internal contacts.
• Cost management and budget awareness.
• Understanding of company systems, processes, and controls (including asset control).
• Accurate record keeping.
• Ability to work under short deadlines.
• Negotiating schedules, deliverables, and charges with customers.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong business and technical acumen, analytical skills, and project management abilities.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office, spreadsheets, and database applications.

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift up to 25–50 pounds or more, as required. May involve driving for long periods, loading/unloading heavy equipment, working in extreme weather, and weekend/night shifts. All duties performed in accordance with Sunbelt’s safety policies. Base Pay Range: $56,304.00 – $66,861.00 per year. Starting rate may vary by position, location, education, training, and experience.
